Matching sibling swimwear in a tropical print: girls’ one-piece, boys’ board shorts and long-sleeve rash set

What Our Swimwear Is Made From, and Why It Matters

When I started designing swimwear for my own children, I wanted it to be beautiful. But just as importantly, I wanted to know exactly what was touching their skin. Nearly ten years on, that's still how we choose every fabric and every print.

Printed with OEKO-TEX® certified inks

Children's skin is more delicate than ours, and swimwear is worn for hours in sun, salt and chlorine. The inks used to print our designs are certified under OEKO-TEX® ECO PASSPORT, an independent certification for textile dyes and chemicals. It confirms they have no harmful effect on human or environmental health, so our prints are kinder to little ones' skin, and to the planet.

Recycled fabric

Many of our pieces are made using recycled materials. Our swimsuit fabric contains around 84% recycled polyester, and our microfibre board shorts around 86%. It's one way we can make something beautiful while using fewer new resources.

UPF 50+ sun protection

Our swimwear is rated UPF 50+, the highest rating for sun protective fabric, blocking 98% of the sun's harmful UVA and UVB rays. For Australian summers, this was never optional for us.

Made to last

Our fabric is soft to touch and stretches for easy movement. Each piece is fully lined and chlorine resistant, so it keeps its colour and shape summer after summer.

Caring for your swimwear

  • Rinse in cool fresh water after every swim
  • Hand wash gently, and avoid wringing
  • Dry flat in the shade, out of direct sun
  • Avoid rough surfaces like pool edges where possible
